Robert Mitra/WWD I love the graphic makeup and outrageous hair of Fashion Week as much as the next beauty editor, but the faces at the Donna Karan show were refreshingly simple and sexy. Golden skin, shimmery eyes, and glossy straight hair combined to create a smoldering look that's totally wearable off the runway.

"It's very much inspired by Marisa Berenson," said makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury. "Like she's been in the desert with that gorgeous '70s glow." To give the models their radiant honey skin, Tilbury blended in two different shades of M.A.C. Face & Body Foundation, dusted a ruddy amber blush on the apples of their cheeks, and finished with a sweep of M.A.C. Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Medium Deep and Dark over the cheekbones and temples for warmth. To create the bronze smoky eyes, she dabbed and blended a golden brown cream shadow over the lids and along the lower lash lines, rimmed the upper lids with a dark brown pencil, and "coated every single lash with lots of mascara. It's what nature would naturally give you, but a pumped up, glam version of it," Tilbury said.

To complete the sexy, polished look, hairstylist Eugene Souleiman flatironed the models' hair and secured the top section--combed to the exact width of each clip--with a barrette. "It's about gorgeous…gorgeous American beauty," he said. And who wouldn't want that?
