$1,245 spiked Louboutins deemed "weapon" by TSA

Christian Louboutin Rollerboy Spikes, $1,245Christian Louboutin Rollerboy Spikes, $1,245The Transportation Security Administration has been extra tough on passengers recently, but we never thought fashionable items could be considered a security threat. Taz Arnold was passing through airport security on January 2 when TSA agents attempted to confiscate his $1,245 Christian Louboutin Rollerboy Spike shoes. According to his Twitter account, officials called them weapons. After much deliberation, Arnold was allowed to keep his fancy footwear with a warning that they very well could be taken away next time.

TSA officials examine the potentially dangerous shoes. Photo via @TazArnoldTSA officials examine the potentially dangerous shoes. Photo via @TazArnoldThe TSA regulations website says metal scissors and hand tools are permitted on flights, including
screwdrivers under seven inches in length. We think those might be able to inflict a bit more damage than a studded shoe, but we suppose the TSA were just trying to play it safe.

A while back TSA agents stopped Kelly Osbourne because she had a tiny keychain in her bag in the shape of a gun. We could imagine a picky agent deeming a curling iron, eyelash curler, or even certain stilettos dangerous.

Have you even run into a problem with any of your fashion or beauty items when passing through airport security?

I wear black leather, steel toed, garrison boots pretty much everywhere including every flight I have ever taken in the last ten years. I have had to take them off at security for every flight to have them run through the on-board luggage X-ray device but I have always been allowed to have my boots back afterwards to wear them on a flight. Such boots are far more akin to a weapon that a pair of pansy "Christian Louboutin Rollerboy Spikes". I can break legs and balls with those suckers without breaking a sweat.

Anybody who would buy a pair of shoes that butt-ugly needs to have his brain confiscated!

Don't breathe. What is the next thing we shouldn't do because the government is tyrannical?? What happens when they send the TSA to the movie theaters and resturants? Don't eat? Don't watch a movie? Why don't you just join the Nazi party?

what kind of #$%$ freak would wear those things?
    • Tammy  •  4 months ago
Ahh. Our TSA at work, don't you feel safer. Frankly, they are just one step up from "Would you like fries with that..." If you wanted to take away dangerous weapons then make us surrender our pens & pencils. As a medical professional I can do a lot of damage with one of those then those shoes.
      • Ted 4 months ago
Gee, Medical Professional? I bet you are one step up from a "bed pan" cleaner. Just another example of someone who has no idea of the reality out there in this world.
      • Chaos 4 months ago
The reality I see, is that they are taking away people's cupcakes and frisking 5 year old's, when grown men are still allowed to carry on a screw driver. Does that sound like a proper reality to you? Or do you just play along with whoever cuts you the military paycheck?

Remember, Hitler burned down his own consulate, and then blamed and invaded Poland. And the fear campaigns they ran are almost identical to the fear that our own government and media spread. I don't really enjoy the Muslim society as a whole, but this past 12 years has been a witch hunt and you know it. I have several hundred friends in all branches of the military and 99% of them are disgusted with what went on over there. The other two that aren't, are special forces, and they said yea, it's messed up, but we enjoy killing people too much. I support a military at home, but you guys have been brainwashed by the government to hate and kill and don't ask why.

The real reason we went overseas was to integrate the middle east into the central banking system. Every country we invade is subsequently brought into the fold so to speak. The ones that defy us are labeled "our enemies", and vicious smear and fear campaigns are run to gain public support. That's why they needed 9\11. They knew already from previous political discussions that the citizen's didn't support action against Iraq or any nation in the middle east. Then right after 9\11, look what happened. Almost 100% of the population supported it. You could have nuked them and they wouldn't have cared. But as time went on, and the fascist legislation and engineered "crisis" started to have their affects on us personally, we realized we had been duped.

See the problem is, YOU haven't been HERE obviously. You don't realize how bad things are right now. There is a monster of change lurking right under the surface of our country, and it's not political. Why do you think the politicians and rich are taking such huge moves to protect themselves? What do you think all these giant bailouts and robberies of our savings and 401k and investments are for? Why do you think they keep devaluing the dollar? What we save, what we work for, just shrinks and shrinks, while prices, taxes, and living expenses go up more and more. All to fuel this giant government monster that is just sucking the life out of this country. So they can spy on REGULAR PEOPLE, that are just sick and tired of paying gangsters in $5,000 suits with (S)ecret (S)ervice protection.

So they can build 500 Billion Dollar bunkers underground with our tax dollars, so they can have a nuclear war or survive an asteroid. "Oh, we need $600 Billion dollars this week to run the government", "Oh, we need another 2 Trillion dollars right now, sorry". Oh yeah, this National Defense Authorization Act is GREAT! Militarize the police, detain American citizen's indefinitely, put cameras in my house sure! I'm fighting terrorism!

You think I'm crazy? Look everything I said up. This is what is happening. It's all right in front of our faces. How you wish to interpret it, or process it psychologically, is up to you. Personally, I've never met an "evil" Muslim person who hated America. They scoff at how crazy we are, at how entitled our leaders and wealthy are, at how we just hate blindly and let our leaders control us and enslave us. Not one wanted to kill us. But I've met plenty of Americans that want to kill people, that hate, that love war and death, and who don't even think anymore for themselves, they just follow the conscript of a shallow, hollow existence living for money, sex, and consumer electronics, while their government quietly clamps the shackles on. Now, the children are starting to be brainwashed from birth, schools are mandated, lessons are syndicated, and students are medicated. I think you need to take a look at what "reality" really means. Not just what you are told it means.

This is real easy folks, no security and everyone is issued a gun at boarding and surrenders it at the arrival gate. Esay no security, no screening, no taking off my shoes just heres your gun get on the plane, soft gel bullets of course so as to no puncture the skin of the plane, perhaps tranqulizer darts.
      • Chaos 4 months ago
I can see that degenerating really fast into a massive on board water bullet battle. All it takes is one argument, and then chaos lol.

The airline should have upgraded him to first class and given him a teddy bear (without eyes, wouldn't want him to choke on one). Obviously the poor fellow isn't very bright. Jeez those things are ugly.
