10 Tops for Busty Women

One of the major frustrations I have shopping are finding clothes that accommodate my chest (or my girls as I affectionately call them!) Between buttons pulling or my chest just spilling out, finding a cute top that's flattering can be more disappointing than fun. Since you don't see a lot of women like us on fashion ads and mannequins, there's a lot of trial and error involved. Hopefully I can save you a lot of the unnecessary rants in the dressing room with my tips and picks for shopping for your "girls"!

The right neckline can make all the difference.
I find that V, draped, and even key-hole necklines work great in flattering a big chest. They can minimize their size and help them look proportional to the rest of your body. Stay away from high necklines, especially if the rest of the shirt drapes out. It creates a tent effect , making you look larger than you are.

Don't shy from color or prints
. Just because you have a big chest doesn't mean your clothes have to be boring! Have fun with bright colors, stripes, and embellished necklines.

Button Down Shirts aren't off limits. You just have to shop for the right fit. A lot of times do you have to go a size bigger so you don't have that button pulling business going on. Stores that cater to plus size women are your best bet for these types of tops. If the shirt fits your chest but is big everywhere else, a wide belt is all you need to cinch in the waist to give it some shape.

Fit is everything
. We are not shopping for moomoo's here! A cinched waist, vented sides, or an elastic band at the hip, you want a top that fits your chest and your shape. You want to accentuate your chest, not look like you have a piece of fabric hanging off them!

What about you? How do you shop for your "girls"?
