We've known for awhile that Lucy Hale's debut album was coming soon. But "soon" is one of those vague words that could mean six days or-heaven forbid-six months. Which is why we're totally thrilled to learn the official release date for Lucy's record, sweetly titled Road Between, is June 3. Sure, that may not feel super soon since it's approximately zero degrees outside, but we promise it's right around the corner.
And if you think you're excited, put yourself in the Pretty Little Liars star's cowboy boots for a sec-she first told us about her plans to cross over to music way back in 2012 (!) but it was her life ambition waaaaay earlier. In short? It's been a long, long time coming. "This has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl singing Faith Hill and Shania Twain songs into my hairbrush in the mirror," Lucy said in a statement. "It was both exciting and scary for me to be so vulnerable making this album, and it's turned out to be something genuinely me and something I'm really proud to share."
Not that you need a reminder, because you've undoubtedly had 'em on repeat for ages, but Lucy debuted her first single, "You Sound Good To Me," last month and then followed it up with another twangy ballad, "Nervous Girls," just last week. Both songs are catchy with seriously clever lyrics-sort of like early Taylor Swift, but with a little more sass. Sounds about right!
She's psyched. We're psyched. Now it's your turn!
