5 Lazy Girl Summer Beauty Picks

Summer's not over yet! Embrace the last weeks of balmy breezes and sunshine with these easy-to-follow tips, tricks, and fuss-free shortcuts. Bonus: They'll work in the fall, too!

    Punch Up Your Cheek Color

With their vacation days spent, and their weekends shortened, Lazy Girls can use a mango- or peach-tinted stain to up their sun-kissed glow. A double-duty sheer formula will work well on cheeks and lips, alike.

    Buy Beach Waves

That's right. Lazy Girls (and working girls) can get the hair-tousling benefits of the sun, sand, and surf without calling in a sick day. Use heated, ceramic clips to recreate bombshell waves, and experiment with curl placement and defining pomades to find your best beachy hair "cocktail."

The TopStyler by InStyler Curling Set, $119; topstyler.com

    Glam Up Your Gams

There's a reason mini skirts look so great in the summer, perpetual tans and smooth skin team up to create the killer combo for sculpted (and even not-so-sculpted) legs. Even though your stems will be hidden in jeggings and jeans, use a skin-refining body lotion to give your gams a much-needed boost in tone and texture. Tinted formulas will make them look thinner, too.

Miracle Skin Transformer Body SPF 20, $34; miracleskintransformer.com

    Score a Seasonal Spritz

Ocean spray it's not, but wearing a summery perfume is the easiest way to transport yourself back to warmer months. Look for a scent that boasts notes, like apricot musk and passion fruit, and spritz it in your hair to make your transition into fall as "sweet" as possible.

Ralph Lauren Summer Romance Eau de Toilette, $78; sephora.com

    Fake Sunny Highlights

Too lazy to hit the salon (or a tropical locale)? Recreate the benefits of strand-bleaching sunlight in your bathroom with a heat-activated hair lightener. Spritz hair with the spray and use your blow-dryer to bring out a subtly-brighter hue to your ends.

John Frieda Sheer Blonde Go Blonder Controlled Lightening Spray, $8; amazon.com

Yep, lemon juice for hair highlights, Bath & Body Works or Victoria Secret for scent, and inexpensive hair products to style hair. Heck, I've known guys who love the scent of Coppertone or Hawaiin Tropics sun lotion on women.

Total cost of all five: $268.00. Cheap is a relative term and for some out there with responsibilities and budgets, this is not cheap. Tack on the sales tax and depending on what state and municipality, you will be approaching the $300.00 mark.

Lazy girls are expensive girls! geez louise! I'll just stick with my curling iron from Sally Hanson, chic perfumes by Victoria Secret and lemon juice for beachy highlighted hair! ;)
