In our continuing coverage of New York Fashion Week, we're rounding up the top five things that catch our eye each day. Follow us on Twitter and check back from now through Thursday, February 16 for our top Fashion Week picks and you won't miss a thing.1. Classic Gwen Stefani at L.A.M.B. The singer/designer isn't reinventing the wheel, but we'd buy this funnel neck wool coat in a second. The oversized houndstooth print doctor bag is very Gwen, and we appreciate a designer who makes practical items they'll want to wear themselves.

2. Mythical woodland fairies at Erin by Erin Fetherston. We walked in and were given cake pops and miniature macaron as a woman played the harp. Then we saw about 30 models posed on golden tree stumps like mythical creatures. A good presentation temporarily transports you, and Erin Fetherston's did the trick.

3. Rachel Zoe's family fans out. At the stylist-turned-designer's Fall 2012 runway show we were seated right behind her husband Roger (below right), baby boy Skylar, and sister Pamela (below left). Her proud parents sat next to us. Roger kept saying how proud he was, and he filmed the whole thing. We saw him take a picture of his seat number and he told us, "I'm taking a picture of my front row seat!" We told him we think he earned it.

4. A flash of gold at Prabal Gurung. The Michelle Obama favorite had a very dark runway show-even the catwalk was black-so when this reflective gown hit the runway onlookers audibly oohed and ahhed.

5. Gisele at Alexander Wang. Some models are so successful they only agree to walk the runway for their favorite (high paying) designers. We were told not to Tweet from backstage at Alex Wang and soon we learned why-the world's highest paid supermodel was making a surprise appearance! We snapped this photo of Gisele Bundchen 30 minutes before showtime while she showed reporters her new, not-yet-in-stores Alexander Wang handbag. We bet she got it for free despite making $45 million last year. Yeah, her life is rough.
