6 'bad' photo apps everyone's obsessed with

Courtney (and everyone else who's in a huff) Really?! I mean REALLY?! I suppose you think allowing gay marriage will lead to people wanting to marry their pets too? Good lord! Pretty sure there isn't one person here (myself included) who condones bullying, whether it be virtual or face-to-face. As a child I was both bullied and the bullier. I teach my kids to judge people's actions, not their looks. People who are beautiful outside can be very ugly inside etc. This is a computer game/app! But.... I'm also pretty sure that people's reactions to this article are a direct reflection of how react to/in daily life. Easy going - find the humor in life vs. angst riddled and upset; which means my point is moot. lol!

Lighten UP! Learn to laugh a little.

That everyone's shrugging this off as harmless and calling people over sensitive worries me. A kid who crys when they're peers meanly call them fat or stupid or make fun of them for having holes in their shirt must be freakishly over sensitive. It must also be incredibly harmless for one teen to spread lies and rumors about another teen via MySpace or Facebook, or take unflattering pictures of them w/a camera phone and send it around to other teens (remember how much fun social networking and picture messages were when they first came out?) Seriously, I'm not being pessimistic - I just know how cruel children AND adults can be, and how sad the results of bullying or even "harmless fun" can be. It's much easier for people to hide behind technology now, and things like this just do not strike me as amusing in the face of today's bullying and suicide problems among young people.

Most of these apps I wouldn't bother with. I wouldn't take offense either, but why would you want to waste your time? I do think the yearbook app is pretty funny though. How many of us can really say we thought we looked good in our yearbook pictures? Not too many, if we're being honest, but still I cherish mine as a rite of passage.

Great - another technological advance that insidiously promotes bullying. In little less than a year, we'll hear of some poor kid who killed themselves because someone posted horrible altered images of them on the internet using some of these "fun and innocent" little apps.

On another note, that guy in the Aging Booth pic (the unaltered one) is hot :)

Lord people lighten up. Its an app. When we forget how to laugh at ourselves or find humor in silly situations(like a photo app) then we are in trouble. No body hates people with herpes or acne its just a photo morph. Learn to laugh a little.
