Stars everywhere have been trying out the trend: Sofia Vergara made it look oh-so-sexy and Katy Perry's take was funky and fun. Now I'm dying to do it too! And summertime is the perfect season to mix and match all our favorite hues.

Chances are you've got a few belts lying around from years past. If so, it's time to sport those waist-cinchers once again. A punch of berry (or any other color) is a simple and sophisticated way to add a little wow to your look and show off your awesome summer bod. Pair this shade against darker purples, blues, greens, and even grays to really make a cool style statement.

    Hello, Yellow!

Sorry, no mellow yellow here! This season, sunny styles made a comeback in a huge way -- and I am super excited. Against sun-kissed skin, this color looks fantastic! While these are an investment, they can be dressed up with pumps or dressed down with comfy sandals and they're sure to be a crowd favorite! Pair with blue or purple for a sharp, stark contrast.

It wouldn't be summer without a sundress, huh? Even though this dress can stand alone, there's still a few simple touches you can add to spice things up: opt for a colored thin belt that showcases your hourglass shape. On cool nights, throw on a colorful cardigan for extra savvy style. Mint would be a perfect complement to this berry-tastic frock!

Sometimes it's just easier to let your clothing do the work for you -- and here's the proof! Just finish the look off with your favorite pair of denim cut-offs and ta-da! You're good to go. The best part of buying colorblocked pieces is that they provide a good visual example of what works well together. So next time you're feeling a little blue, go on and add some green to your look!

Colorblocking isn't only for tops and bottoms. Jazz up your jewelry with different shades. If you're wearing something bright on your bottom, go with a simple, neutral top & let your accessories do the talking! Green, blue and cranberry hues all work well against this coral-inspired necklace!
