Show me an eye shadow that twinkles like a disco ball, and I AM SOLD. (Need some convincing? Check out the amazing looks Gucci Westman created in Allure's February issue.) Here are the goodies I turn to when I need my fix:
Hard Candy Glitter Eye Pencils: Some glitter eyeliner pencils kinda hurt when you apply them. The hard-edged glitter chunks drag against your skin, and by the time you're done lining one lid, glitter just isn't fun anymore. These liners go on super-smooth, surprising because each stroke packs so many glittery bits.
Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Liners: I don't mind if a fleck of glitter finds its way onto my cheek, but I know a lot of people who hate it when glitter takes a road trip. If you're in that camp, try Urban Decay's Metal Glitter Liners. They're liquid, so any sparkly pieces stay firmly affixed to your lids.
Too Faced Kitty Glitter in Pussie Galore: Pink glitter? On your lids? I promise you, it looks gorg if you layer a little bit over a neutral shadow (in brown or beige) in a creamy formula (so the loose glitter sticks). Use just a little, then add more.
Make Up For Ever Star Glitter: Candy raver redux! Apply a sprinkling of these star-shaped glitter particles onto the far corner of one cheek bone (right or left, doesn't matter) whenever you're feeling like a hottie Rainbow Bright. Weekends only, please! This is one beauty statement that you can't take back.
