    Anna Wintour Banned Her Entire Staff From Attending A Fashion Show

    Well this goes with our Horrible Bosses theme of today, though, I suppose she had good reason. Styleite reported today that no one on Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour'sVogue staff was allowed to attend designer Azzedine Alaia's Paris show yesterday.

    Perhaps this was just to save face because Anna couldn't attend the show herself. She was too busy at the premiere of the seventh Harry Potter film with her good friend Daniel Radcliffe (he presented a Webby to her earlier this month) in London, at the same time as the fashion show. Well it is nice to know that Anna appreciates a good fantasy film about teenage wizards being chased around by a villain with a nasal problem, but apparently she also knows how to hold a grudge.

    According to Styleite, "It's no secret that the Wintour and the Tunisian-born Alaia are anything but friends. The feud started in 2009 when Alaia was not featured in Wintour's "Model As A Muse" exhibit at the Met. Last week, tensions got tenser when Alaia told The New York Times that Wintour has no taste. Whoa. Burn.

    Okay so they aren't braiding each other's hair yet but to ban your whole staff, which reports on and photographs the fashion industry, from not attending a big fashion show seems silly as well as bad for business. However, Vogue staffers may not have even been invited. Alaia said last month of Wintour, "She hasn't photographed my work in years even if I am a best seller in the U.S. and I have 140 square meters at Barneys. American women love me; I don't need her support at all."

    Well I hope Anna enjoyed the movie. By the way in the brilliant cinematic masterpiece that is Clueless, in the pivotal scene in which Cher is held up at gunpoint in a parking lot and told to get down on the ground she is wearing an Alaiauttering the famous line, "You don't understand; this is an Alaia."

    Well Cher, it seems as if Anna Wintour does not understand.
