The cameras are rolling as 18-year-old AnnaSophia Robb takes on the role as a young Carrie Bradshaw in the new television series The Carrie Diaries. Spotted in full hair and make-up, Robb hits the streets of New York City with signature Carrie curls, an '80s-style ensemble and a bold carry-all emblazoned with the character's name (reminiscent of Bradshaw's gold nameplate necklace).

With the ball rolling, die-hard Sex and The City fans are eager to see if Robb will be able to fill Sarah Jessica Parker's big shoes. But not to worry, the style star has already given Robb her stamp of approval in a personal letter handed to her on her first say on-set.
