Braun Satin Hair

Braun Satin Hair Active Ion Brush is designed to add instant shine to hair and reduce frizz by releasing a stream of ions straight from the back of the head of the brush. The ions are produced by two 1.5 volt batteries which are inserted in the handle of the brush and are activated by sliding the on/off switch to the 'on' position; you'll know its on when the green light is lit and the ion outlet, which is located on the back of the bristle pad (at the base), is open.
Since I have highlighted hair with no shine I was really excited to try this new brush. However, after using it for a few weeks, I didn't see it as the miracle cure I was hoping for. When the ion stream is turned on, there is a slight hum, so it seems something is happening. But after using the brush my hair appeared a bit more tame, maybe a little shinier, but not to the point of where I noticed and said 'wow'.
I did say 'wow', after the actual price of the brush finally broke through my ionized halo and penetrated my thick skull; its $65.00, and being sold on QVC! I love QVC! I had to read the product reviews and discovered a lot of very favorable comments; some people even own more than one!
After I read all that, I thought to myself, maybe it is working but I am not seeing the results, my bathroom has terrible lighting after all, and the counter in the bathroom is huge...I mean, I stand a good distance away from the mirror. So, I did what any good beauty guru would do, I tried the brush on another specimen under controlled conditions where I can really see if the brush is working; I tried it on my poodle....my pet, standard poodle, Tess (who, by the way has very bad hair). I am sorry if I offended anyone who created this brush but I needed to see!
I used the brush only on a small spot on Tess's head, she loved every minute of it....and do ya' wanna know what...her hair looked great. It was no longer in its frizzy, fly-away state. Her hair literally was smooth and shiny! I couldn't believe it!
I will be using this brush on MY hair, because it must be working (am I gross if I say will also use it on my poodle...because I will...LOL...). It has an easy to remove bristle pad for cleaning (which I will be doing) and is easy to carry in a handbag. :)
