Scary! Snooki’s New Fashion Line from HSN
"Jersey Shore" star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi is famous for getting drunk, tanning, stylish her hair into a poof, falling down, exposing herself, and calling herself a meatball. She gets paid hundreds of thousands of dollars by MTV to do these things some of us secretly enjoy watching her because, well, she's entertaining. But does that mean we want to buy her new HSN line? Would people really pay for her perfume and sunglasses so they could smell and look like Snooki? You wouldn't think so, except many of her items have already sold out!
Last night Snooki went on TV to debut her new HSN line which includes a signature perfume, handbags, sunglasses, and a knockoff version of her favorite stuffed animal Crocodilly. On air she sprayed perfume on the toy crocodile, got a call from her castmate Jwoww, and somehow convinced people to shell out lots of money for Snooki gear.
Still up for grabs are "Snook Revolution" and "Poof Nation" sunglasses for $20, a 3.3 oz Snooki perfume and matching leopard tote bag for $45, a tiger print satchel for $54.99, and a 28-inch Crocodilly for $19.99.
These items all scream "Snooki," and while sometimes we'd complain that a celeb had no input on their line, in this case she does and it's a turnoff. We're sure there are some diehard Snooki fans out there who have already purchased her best-selling novel and pickle-printed flip-flops, but the rest of us have no desire to resemble the little meatball. While we'll admit she makes for some hilarious TV moments, Snooki burps, farts, acts dumb on purpose, and wears undeniably tacky and unflattering clothing. We get why Snooki is a popular Halloween costume, but who wants to embrace and buy into her aesthetic in an un-ironic way? Is everyone buying Snooki sequin sneaker slippers as a joke for their BFF or sister this Christmas, or do teenagers and college co-eds really want to dress like Snooki and get their GTL on? We're hoping it's not the latter.
