I've been obsessed with this picture of Charlize Theron ever since she debuted the look at the Golden Globes last year. I should also admit that I'm a bit of a magpie and am attracted to anything shiny. Now that it's the holidays, it's socially sanctioned for me to be dripping in rhinestones, right? (It's also an easy way to transition your look from work to party time.)
To that end, I scouted a bunch of hair accessories that are festive yet sophisticated, because, um, I'm not a teenager anymore. As much as I'd love to wear a rainbow colored rhinestone tiara, it's not happening:
Tasha Crystal Sparkle Barrette, $38: Use this in a Kate Middleton-style half-up/half-down style.
Bobby pin set, $10: It's hard to tell in the picture, but these simple pins (the black ones) are encrusted with glitter. A perfect glint in your hair without going full-out blingy.
Deepa Gurnani Antique Crystal Hair Clip, $36: This vintage-inspired clip would look so good nestled next to a messy chignon.
Marie Hayden Beaded Side Headband, $78: I love the fact that the gems on this headband are muted, but still pretty.

Dolce and Gabbana Gold-Plated Swarovski crystal crown, $1,825: And this is the toned down version. Love it.
How do you incorporate sparkle for the holidays? Would you try a hair accessory?
