    I'm not one of those people who thinks gift cards fall flat as a present. I understand that they do literally fall flat. But two-dimensionality aside, I think a gift card can be pretty awesome. Especially when it's coming from a store that's an obvious match for the recipient, ensuring they'll definitely, actually like their holiday present for once.
