More often than not my breakfast consists of a coffee en route to the subway, but I do love when I'm able to sneak in a working breakfast at my favorite Brooklyn restaurant, Frankies 457, in Carroll Gardens. I'd been eyeing this Jill Stuart dress on [Senior Market Editor] Meredith Melling Burke for a few months and was thrilled to find it at our Hurricane Sandy sample sale in November -since then, it's become an unexpected staple in my otherwise pants-dominated wardrobe. I don't like to feel too frilly, so combining it with my vintage red fox-fur coat and a pair of over-the-knee MaxMara boots keeps me feeling more Penny Lane than prim. I tend to shy away from super-bright colors, but the cool lilac on my ChloƩ bag feels close enough to a neutral for my comfort zone.
