    Ever Embarrassed by Your Laundry Day Outfit?

    On a recent episode of "Whitney," Whitney's guy friend Mark shows up at her apartment dressed in full Marine dress uniform, complete with medals, white gloves, and shiny black shoes. When Whitney gives him the WTF look, Mark responds, "It's laundry day." So simple, so hilarious, and so TRUE.

    I've spent many a day hiding in my apartment due to my laundry day look -- think homeless chic. Braless with an old T-shirt, a pair of ancient sweatpants, and holey socks, I count down the minutes until my laundry is finished and I can actually venture outside.

    Of course, sometimes you can't hide out on laundry day and wait for your favorite pair of jeans to dry. In that case, you'll find me wearing this: a pair of purple culottes (circa '04), an old, too small bra (find out why you should never do that here), granny panties that probably contain an old period stain, and my eighth grade graduation tee. Totally true outfit.

      I do laundry every other day so I have no concept of what a laundry day outfit is. Even when I've used the laundromat, I still did laundry often enough to have clean clothes. Seriously how lazy and dirty are some people?

      Also, that joke on the show would have driven my husband crazy. Full military service dress uniforms are supposed to be worn for military duty only. If someone is no longer on active service then they are not supposed to be wearing the uniform at all. Wearing it on laundry day is ridiculous. The whole joke shows a lack of knowledge of military customs.

      While I have enough clothes to find something decent on laundry day....cleaning day is another story. Streched out workout pants/shorts an old sports bra and ragged t.

      I have never waited until I've worn all my clothes to do laundry. that's a bit lazy and I have more clothes than just for 7 days. Is it common to be this lazy? old period stain? why do you keep those underwear? nasty.

      i usually wear a pair of leggings that barely fit and my brothers huge college hoodie! he left it at my place a long time ago, and it covers my #$%$ in the leggings!

      Just wow.... I have enough clothes that i could not do laundry for like..... 2 months and still have something semi-decent to wear. But, I happen to be a mature, responsible adult, so I do laundry every few days. This sounds like a lazy college student who only takes their clothes home to mom and dads on holidays.... Pathetic.

      Is this supposed to be an article that women relate to? Do you imagine chic cool girls reading this, yuckin' it up, sipping white wine and forwarding it to all their gal pals? Serioulsy. Get a life, do your laundry more then once a freakin' month and buy some new underwear. ugh.

      Why do you even still have those clothes that are disgusting or don't fit? That's just gross. No, I don't have an embarrassing laundry day outfit, because I don't keep gross old clothes. And I do laundry continually as my clothes get dirty. Grow up and do the same.
