His 43-year-old body reached speeds of 833.9 miles per hour before landing in Roswell, New Mexico. To survive the atmosphere (which is really, really cold!), he had to wear a 100-pound pressurized suit. Though, we're happy to know he accessorized under all of that gear! The diver plummeted through the stratosphere wearing a Zenith El Primero Stratos Flyback Striking 10th watch, which clocked his 4:20 freefall and 9:03 jump. "Our watches have participated in some of the grandest human adventures," said Zenith CEO Jean-Frédéric Dufour in a statement. The watch sells for $10,000, just pennies compared what it probably cost to jump from space.
