Hair Confession: The Long and Short of It

Current hair - length; super long, style; nada.

For over a year I have been growing my hair out. Not just for the purpose of having long hair (it has been fun though), but my ultimate goal was to be able to donate it to an organization that creates wigs for people with hair loss from medical treatments or genetic diseases. I have a list of organizations ( I haven't chosen one yet, suggestions?) and the minimum requirements for donating hair are, eight to ten inches of healthy, un-dyed hair. I have both, as you can see from the picture above. It will be a year in June and while that still gives me a couple of months to continue to grow my hair, I have already started thinking about what hair style I want to rock after the big chop. Below are some women styling cuts that have recently inspired my hair-envy.

Scarlett Johansson's edgy, textured bob.

Jessica Alba's shoulder grazing style.

Keira Knightley's sleek bob.

Carey Mulligan's piece-y pixie.

Okay and the last two are the cuts I would rock if I had enough balls (which I don't) and the right face shape (which I don't). Sigh, I wish I did.

Michelle Williams' angelic do'.

Emma Watson's sophisticated pixie.

While I adore Michelle and Emma's pixie cuts on them, I'm not sure I cold pull it off (I know I couldn't pull it off), but they certainly do. That's the roundup. What do you think, any winners amongst this group? Do you have a favorite short hairstyle that you have been dying to try or maybe you are rocking right now? What say you gals, do you think I could pull off any of the above hair styles? Leave your comments and let me know what you think.
