You've spent countless hours in your stylist's chair and even more in your own home washing, drying, pulling and tugging at your tresses to get them perfectly straight - only to wake up after a night of flaunting your dream hair - to your same old 'do (frustrating!). So here are a few tips to make tonight's blowout last through tomorrow night's festivities.

First things first. Tell your stylist that you want your blowout to last as long as possible, not just for tonight's plan's. They'll use a minimal amount of product in your hair, so it won't get weighed down or greasy as quickly.
Rule #1: Don't touch! If you've got a habit of raking your fingers through your hair or twirling it you while talk you're cutting the life of your blowout short. Oils from your fingers transfer to your strands making it look lifeless and limp much more quickly. Stimulating your scalp also increases oil production.
Rule #2: When you wash your face, make sure you pull your hair back into a ponytail or hold it off your face with a headband to avoid product from getting in your hair.

Rule #3: If you sweat a little when you sleep, clip your hair loosely above your hair to keep it off your neck and shoulders. Don't use a ponytail holder to avoid creating creases.
Rule #4: Steam and moisture can accumulate under a shower cap and leave your hair damp. Try wrapping your hair in a terrycloth towel before you put on your cap. This will prevent it from absorbing moisture.
Rule #5: Dry Shampoo
If your scalp is on the oilier side, try a dry shampoo like TREsseme Fresh Start Dry Shampoo. Just spray your roots and let it dry. Then, brush it out briskly. Your hair will feel fresh and it'll give you a boost of volume.
Rule #6: Change It Up
Let your hair down for the first two days or so. After this, experiment with fun updo's or half-up styles that give your every day hair trouble. A sleek chignon is perfect a few days down the road and it will look brand new!
Yesterday's blowout can still be fab tomorrow!
