Spring's assortment of brightly colored makeup seems really refreshing right about now. And the coolest way to wear it is to go all out: vivid color on both your eyes and your lips. I know, you're thinking you'll look like a clown. But-ah ha-not if you follow Pat McGrath's advice for pulling off the look. The trick, she says, is to wear shades in the same general color family.
Try this look for bright, beautiful eyes!
At the Issa show in London, for example, McGrath stuck with all blue-based colors. She used shimmery aqua shadow all around the models' eyes, then swiped a glossy fuchsia (i.e., pink with blue undertones) lip color on their mouths. For similar shades, McGrath likes Max Factor Vivid Impact Eye Shadow Duo in Emerald Coast and Vivid Impact Lipcolor in Ms. Understood. Ok, yes, McGrath amped things up for the runway by adding strong pink blush, but that's not going to work in real life. Instead, just add a hint of soft cheek color and you're set.
