I'm going to let you ladies in on a little secret: one of my biggest morning outfit crisis solutions is opening up my husband's closet (Ah! We're recently married and I'm still so excited about getting to call him that!) and pulling out a piece of his clothing to wear (the shirts and sweaters are my fave).
I do have to warn you though, that if your boyfriend, fiance, brother, dad, roommate or any guy you live with is like mine, he may not be thrilled when he discovers the shirt he's been searching for is part of your super-sweet ensemble, so keep in mind how cute you'll look!
If you're up for raiding your guy's closet (or simply using it as inspiration for pieces you want to buy), keep reading to see how you can make his clothes look like they belong on you.
Alright, so this blazer may not be her bf's, but the menswear style works with this look because she's paired it with this longer length ladylike dress. Whether it's shorts, a pair of great trousers, a tailored shirt, or even a vest, use your menswear inspired pieces to tone down extra-girly dresses and skirts and add a little sophistication to your jeans and sweater looks.
If you're dying for more ways to wear this trend, check out these six other real-girl menswear looks from our friends at StyleList (tip: scroll to the bottom of the page to see the slideshow).
