YOUR FRIENDS' ACTIVITY

It's exposed feet season! Three ways to make yours look pretty

Even though I've been waiting for spring for months, I'm never quite prepared for the warm weather and the first few days of bare legs and arms and sandals always make me feel a little like I've left the house naked. Does this happen to you? I mean, it was hot over the weekend and I wore sandals and my poor, winter-neglected feet made me more than a little self-conscious and exposed. I need (and will get maybe today) a pedicure STAT-the job has definitely gotten too big to tackle alone. But after that, I've found a few excellent, foolproof products to keep my feet looking good all summer long.

Band-Aid Single Step Liquid Bandage, $6.99

Seriously, these are the best for covering up the bloody massacre that those cute, innocent-looking new sandals brought down on your hooves. For one, you never have to worry about gross, soggy band-aids falling out/off of your shoes. But you can also use this transparent gel to prevent hideous blisters in the first place. (Apply it to the areas you think your new shoes might rub. Or bring a few packets with you and apply it as soon as you start to feel abrasion.)

Collective Well Being Buffing Bar for Feet, $6

If you're prone to calluses, this little pumice/peppermint soap will change your life. It's all-natural, made from things like pure volcanic pumice and crushed walnut shells and works better than those gnarly feeling stones. Plus, it's got that whole amazing peppermint tingly thing too.

    Revlon Colorstay Nail Enamel, $6.19

No matter if you're working on your toes yourself or going to a nail place, you want to start with polish that will last a while (plus, if you're at a salon, it's just more hygienic to bring your own). I like Revlon's Colorstay, which comes in 8 different good colors, isn't wildly expensive and is meant to last for at least ten days. Another trick is to carry the polish in your purse for last minute touch ups.
