Are you still bummed that you missed out on snagging an item from Jason Wu's inexpensive line for Target? Now you'll have another chance to wear Wu on a lower budget with the upcoming launch of Miss Wu, the young designer's new, younger, more affordable collection. By Harling Ross
Jason WuWith the soon-to-be-launched Miss Wu clothing line, named for the Jason Wu house logo cartoon owl, fashion fanatics looking for a lower price point can now partake in the phenomenon that is Jason Wu.
The Miss Wu line will consist of 40 pieces, all priced between $195 and $795, and the designer is quick to assure that his new collection is not merely a cheaper imitation of his namesake line. Wu has infused his new line with 1960s-inspired elements, such as Mod prints, mini skirts, and floppy hats, popularized by icons like Jane Birkin and Marianne Faithfull.
The Most Iconic Movie Dresses of All Time
The designer made an effort to steer clear of some of the more ubiquitous trends in women's clothing, like hard-edged pieces that target a younger set. Instead, Miss Wu embraces a softer aesthetic with a focus on feminine details.
The new collection will debut at Nordstrom for Spring 2013, and considering that Wu's Target collection sold out online within mere hours of launching, get ready to snag items from the Miss Wu line as soon as they hit stores!
