Kate Middleton Wears Temperley Dress to Premiere on Eve of 30th Birthday

Kate Middleton attended a film premiere wearing an Alice Temperley dress. Kate Middleton attended a film premiere wearing an Alice Temperley dress. On the eve of her 30th birthday, the Duchess of Cambridge attended the film premiere for "War Horse" in London's West End with husband Prince William. He held an umbrella over Middleton as she walked the red carpet and mingled with movie director Steven Spielberg. According to Grazia, Duchess Catherine was "met by a deafening cheer from the crowds," some offering up birthday wishes.

Always a head-turner, the future princess wore an on-trend black lace gown with a nude-lined underlay and velvet belt by one of her favorite British designers, Alice Temperley. Clearly the style icon is a fan of long-sleeve, V-neck lace gowns, as it was reminiscent of her Alexander McQeen wedding dress. Middleton accessorized with a matching velvet bow clutch by Mascaró, her diamond and sapphire engagement ring, and a diamond bracelet. Prince William looked ever the gentleman in a tuxedo and bow tie.

Duchess Catherine has been spotted wearing Temperley several times before, including a pleated one dress she wore to Wimbledon earlier this year, an embroidered Alice by Alice Temperley blouse she paired with bootcut jeans and a cowboy hat on her trip to Calgary, and a black and white dress she wore to her first event following her engagement announcement. Her sister, Pippa Middleton wore a Temperley gown to the Royal Wedding reception and sat front row at the Temperley fashion show at London Fashion Week last September.

Today is Duchess Catherine's actual birthday, and according to Yahoo!, palace officials said tonight's celebration will be a "low-key and private" affair with friends and family. We've heard rumors of an '80s-themed karaoke birthday party, and that celebrity designer Victoria Beckham even sent over gowns for Middleton to wear for her birthday, but the future princess may be looking for a more simple, elegant celebration as she turns 30

Yes, because despite the fact that we are vastly more populous than are they, we have no one here worth looking up to.

Wow, a reporter that called her Duchess Catherine instead of Kate Middleton. Maybe they are finally realizing that she's married?

I am rather dense when it comes to the Royalty stuff but once she married Prince William did she not also become Princess Kate? I ask because the article referred to her as the 'future' princess...I am totally confused. Thanks

From what I understand, women who marry a Royal only take on their husband's official title. Only women that are born Royal carry their own titles. The actual title is Her Royal Highness, The Princess William, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. When the time comes and Prince William is elevated to the status of Prince of Wales (the title of Prince Charles, the heir apparent), only then will she be known as Her Royal Highness, Princess Catherine of Wales (Diana's title as she married the heir apparent). Sarah, Duchess of York, officially never carried a "Princess" title. Her highest rank was Her Royal Highness,The Princess Andrew, Sarah, Duchess of York. When they divorced, Sarah was allowed to keep the title of Duchess of York, but was no longer Her Royal Highness, as she was no longer a member of the Royal family (Diana was also stripped of the HRH status). However, Andrew and Sarah's daughters are princesses as they were born to a Royal prince. HRH, Princess Anne, The Princess Royal was born Royal and always was a Princess and an HRH. However, the Queen granted her the title Princess Royal later on. Since Anne married a man who was not a Royal or carried a title of his own, Anne's children, Peter and Zara do not have a title although they are still considered Royal as they are the grandchildren on the Queen. Confused yet? Wikipedia has a good explanation of the titles and styles of the Royal and Noble classes.

Wish everyone would let up on whether Di would be proud or approve. She's dead. Any speculation is just that. Let the 'kids' have their own lives.

The guy said it all, she has yet to say a word yet all these things are already being judged about what she hasnt even commented on. These so called celebs in Hollywierd could take a few lessons from her but would implode if told they could not comment or open up for a week.
