    Katie Holmes to design clothes!

The time has come. Katie Holmes has been very hush-hush about the "premium designer" line she's been working on with her stylist, Jeanne Yang, but reports today confirm that Holmes & Yang will be available this fall. Holmes has been snapped in two of her co-creations-a jumpsuit with lace sleeves and a dress with a leather bustier-and even sparked rumors of a New York fashion week runway show. The line features looks for women and children (sans leather bustiers, we hope) and will be available at Maxfield in Los Angeles. Clothes do not come with paparazzi. [WWD]

She has worn a few nice dresses (like the red one in the photo), but overall I think her style is very sloppy. I guess I think that her style will be relflected in the clothes she 'designs' so I don't have high hopes. And I am sick of every celebrity trying to make a few more dollars with clothing lines and perfumes. While a few do it well, most do not. Why don't we leave clothing design to people who actually know what they are doing?

Sigh.. What scientology and your crazy millionaire husband can do to you..

I think she would be more apt to design couches.. right

If it's as good as her Ode to Judy Garland I don't think we will be seeing this line for very long.

The jumpsuit made me frown, the leather bustier made me smile. I have mixed feelings about this.....:)

Well I think I will congratulate her for the celeb clothing lines and she can do more but I don't fancy the multi-colored combination she has done.

in this picture she has a red dress with gold shoes and black in her handbag - she really needs to learn how to dress herself first before dressing other people

just what we common folks need, another celebrity telling us how to dress

Yup, as usual, the wealthy ending up as another PREMADONNA....and can't 'think' of anything else to be productive in but everything that relates to more materialisms!

I too am sick of the celeb clothing lines that are well over priced and under developed by way of being in tune with the everyday consumer. Then again, maybe her product will be different. But I think it would be great if celebs could forego the clothing line and leave it to the people who are designers. But I guess that's what models used to say about actors when they started taking over the cover of magazines.

      I agree with Connie W

Please, no more celeb designer. There are so many things that she can do with her celebrity. She can start a charity for women and children. There are so many women and children that are homeless. Her being a mom I am sure she can identify.

Um, no thanks. I'll stick with the tried and true things. I really don't want to wear something just because so-and-so made it.
