What does it take to be British Girl of the Year in 2013? Dark brows, blonde hair, a funny grin, aristo genes, and a first name beginning with C. Yes, we're hardly the first to point out the uncanny number of similarities between Cara Delevingne and Cressida Bonas. One keeps fashion agog, and the other keeps Prince Harry happy. Cara's 21 and Cressy's 24, but so what? These two headline-grabbers are virtually body doubles and taste twins.
As much as Cara scrubs up beautifully when required to model any number of überfashion collections (or to bring Times Square to a screeching halt as she did while jumping atop a yellow cab while shooting a DKNY commercial ), and Cressy will sally forth in her own quirkily appropriate long skirts and jackets for a society wedding (thus making fellow guests in short dresses look instantly frumpy), what truly unites these girls is their love of a beanie, skinny jean, biker jacket, one-piece, and chunky ankle boot. It's the kind of grunge which has been in development amongst London girls at every school, festival, and club for the past three years-but with these girls, not worn with a scowl, but a perky smile.
