Los Angeles Bans Fur!
Hollywood starlets looking to buy fur coats in Los Angeles will have to shop elsewhere this season! The Fur Free West Hollywood campaign succeeded in passing legislation that will make the selling of fur apparel illegal. "Banning the sale of fur is a historic step for the rest of the world," campaign organizer and animal rights attorney Shannon Keith said in a statement. "West Hollywood has always been on the leading edge of progressive, compassionate legislation. We are thrilled!"
Remaining legal to-dos include figuring out when the rule will officially be enforced, meaning, of course, that luxe-lovers have one more thing on their fall shopping list.
