See more: The Best Dressed College Students Across the Country
Miley Cyrus took the stage at MTV Studios last night for the Unplugged special we've all been looking forward to forever (or two weeks, but it's felt like forever, OK?). And the acoustic concert sure didn't disappoint.
Her costumes were satisfyingly off-the-wall. Her surprise guest-the one and only Madonna-was epic. And, most importantly, her stripped-down songs were beyond impressive.
But if you didn't catch it last night, don't flip out. We've compiled all the best clips from the unforgettable evening right here, so you can watch 'em over and over again. Which you're gonna want to do, because no matter how many times you've listened to Bangerz, you've never heard the songs sound like this.
She kicked off of the show (literally!) in studded cowboy boots, a gingham jumpsuit, and a platinum blonde wig singing an extra-twangy version of "Do My Thang."
Chucking the bouffant wig and country schtick, Miley churned out an especially heartwrenching take on "Wrecking Ball." The only thing prettier than the soulful song was her new blonde pixie cut.
She took a break from crooning her own tracks to take on the Dolly Parton classic "Jolene," which couldn't have been cooler.
And ending with a bang (did you expect any differently?), Miley welcomed Madonna to the stage for a truly unforgettable mashup of "We Can't Stop" and the original Queen of Pop's charttopping hit "Don't Tell Me." It was a liiiiiittle weird, but mostly wonderful.
