Why does this country have to turn all that's good in to sex all the time? I thought these were girls that wanted a higher education. Don't feel you need to trash every event. I for one will not be watching the Miss Universe pagent.

It's time America grew up.Compared to the rest of the world we live in the stone age.

I'm going to to go along with the people who are for this type of art work. Usally the ones who do all the "FOUL" cry are the ones you pray that you DON'T ever want to see because of how they are "NOT BEAUTIFUL" people in anybody's eye. So, I missed out this year's pageant, but, I surely hope and pray the ladies keep expressing themselves in whatever way they believe that suits them. YOU GO LADIES!!!!!

Personally, I think body painting is stupid, however no one ask me. It is plain silly. Clothes are made to be worn, not paint. That is about as bad as holes all over your body, if God wanted us with all holes in our body, he would have put them there. Your body belongs to him, not you. Present it as such.

Well, this is SUPPOSED to be the most respectable contest in the world. I agree the bikinis are fine, but to go topless shouldn't be allowed. If girls want to do contests that allow nudity, they should hit Fort Lauderdale at Spring Break and go for it!
And I love Japan, but Miss Japan needs to put some clothes on! That's ridiculous...she's a beautiful girl.
How are the girls from countries that don't allow women to expose themselves suppose to compete with the ones that CHOSE to expose alot of skin..Reminds me of college guys yelling, "No skin, NO Win!" Trump has brought real class to these competitions. NOT!! Maybe he's looking for his next wife.

Prudish is not the point. Women wanting to be respected would never do these things. It is like looking at meat in the grocery counter. You might droll over it but you are going to eat it and then it is gone! Real Men want a woman with repect for herself and for her man or future man.

Of the four photos shown, I am only impressed with the work done with Miss USA. Body and face painting can be a most beautiful artistic expression. The other three works were not much more than linear swipes of color.

At first I was worried about what I was going to see, but it's actually a relief! Instead of the focal point being, say, the cleavage, it's the sides of the body where the paint is. They look beautiful and artistic, and it's actually an improvement on them just standing there, showing their raw 'goods'!

I have to say, though, the the photo of Miss Japan looks like binding, and with the shoes, looks WAY too sexual! Emphasizing sexuality rather than beauty and even sensual stylishness is a problem in my book.

The original story LIES to make it seem more salacious..."in nothing but body paint" describes none of these rather tame and tasteful fashion shots. In every case the women are wearing at least a bikini bottom along with the paint. Yet another example of not letting the facts get in the way of the story...
