Missoni for Target: back in stock for the holidays!

Missed out on Missoni for Target? Got fed up when the store website crashed? Was your order canceled? Good news -- many of the hottest items are now back in stock.

It seems that when orders were placed in September, Target had not fully completed production on all clothing and home goods that were promised to buyers. Clearly, they underestimated the popularity and hype surrounding the designer collaboration. (Let's hope they're better prepared for the upcoming Jason Wu for Target collection). Many Missoni items had lengthy shipping delays or were canceled altogether. While we've seen a few items trickle back into stock (all the men's ties and some dishes were back last month), more than 50 items were just returned to the store website. If you submitted a complaint with Target about the way they handled the Missoni launch or your order, you may have received a $25 gift card in the mail. We just used ours toward that instantly-sold-out Missoni throw blanket (it's still available in two colors). Oh and that awesome zig-zag pattered bike? It's available now too.

We reached out to Target for comment about the sudden reemergence of Missoni goods. "Target is in the process of fulfilling outstanding online orders of the Missoni for Target collection," Target spokesman Lee Henderson told Yahoo! Shine exclusively. "As these orders are fulfilled, remaining inventory is being made available on Target.com. A limited number of items are expected to become available throughout the next few weeks."

This means even more sold-out items may be popping up online in the days to come. Target seems to have tackled their processing issues as well because we placed an order and it's been confirmed to ship out within days. If you're seeking some affordable, last-minute holiday gifts for the fashionista in your life, here's a complete list of everything Target currently has available. They're a little tricky to find on Target.com, but if you do a search for "Missoni", 249 items will show up including some that are long sold out (sad).

And yet I seen some of these items on clearance at Target in my home town. Thus I cannot justify paying full price.

La- you're lucky if you've seen them in stores, especially on sale. Here in NYC I've yet to see any Missoni items on a Target rack.

Hahaha, I always wait for clearance sales!! I like the line :) In Chicago we can't find it anywhere. :(

i agree. i think that people just like the name missoni rather than the actual merchanside

*sigh* and of course the only sizes that are left are for big foot... :-/

Sorry Ebay sellers, I'm not paying more than what it would cost to buy it from Target... so I will just find something better.

What's the big deal? This stuff is hideously ugly and overpriced.

      I really don't understand the appeal...at all.

This would be great if they weren't having the same shipping issues they had before. Ordered items on Sunday that haven't shipped, but the same item ordered on Monday and Tuesday have shipped.

Almost everything is out of stock online. Why even post a "back in stock" article?

Most of what we have at our target is all stuff people have returned after not being able to sell it on ebay. And its all on clearance. I haven't seen any new stuff come in, or heard anything at all about it. I hope that stuff doesn't come back, it won't be the pretty stuff. It will be all the strange stuff.

Oh! I'm going to have to go get that pair of heels I've been wanting since I saw them and went back the next day (after the madness had well died down) and they are taken off the shelf already...

I am absolutely amazed at how terrific the stuff is on this site. I have saved this webpage and I truly intend on visiting the site in the upcoming days.

      Keep up the excellent work!

Too bad that they are obviously still having the same problems with the website as they were on the launch day. I placed an order early on Sunday morning that still has not been processed, when I know people that ordered the same item on Monday and have already had it shipped. Target still needs to get their act together...

Maybe the reporter should dig a bit more (i.e. in Missoni Facebook groups). We've all had ordering issues for the throws that just popped up. I placed 5 orders since Friday and only the one I placed last (on Monday) has actually shipped. There's a very consistent pattern of only shipping the last order and not being able to process the first orders placed!!

Warning to all...the quality of the new stock of Missoni Throw blankets is about 25% less quality than the original throws offered when the line came out. Just received a new shipment of the colore, so did several Missoni fan friends of mine and we all agree the new shipment of throws are all cheaper poly, less heavy, and just poorer quality overall. Sad. MAJOR target fail.

You are right, unfortunately. Someone on another blog posted comparison pics of the "new" vs. "old" throw and there is a HUGE difference in quality. The fact that Target thought that they could pass these low quality throws off in order to make more revenue actually makes me think twice about shopping there in the future. Another Target FAIL.
