Morning Beauty Rush

I like to present my best self when I go to work. Something that says "I care about my job and my co-workers, so I take the time in the morning to make myself presentable". Then there are some mornings where I can only say "Ahh, where did my eight hours of supposed sleep go!" I have been working two jobs recently, so the mornings that I want to scream that I don't have enough time are outweighing the former. The plus side (I always try to find a positive) is that I have become quite practiced at rushed beauty routines and quick cover ups. I have compiled a list of my best tricks that I have tested and proven to be effective (At least for me). So effective that I might even receive a compliment on my appearance rather than the pitying "You look tired".

  • Eat a healthy breakfast - Nourishing you body is the best thing you can do in your beauty routine.

  • Pretty Up-do - Up-do's work especially well on unwashed hair (natural oils provide hold in place of styling products). Have a go to up-do for rushed mornings, make sure it's a style that you have practiced and won't fall flat mid-morning. If you have short hair choose a stylish headband or comb for your coif.

  • Nix the Foundation - Save time by applying a tinted moisturizer instead, one with an SPF to help to protect your delicate skin.

  • Concealer - Focus on the under eye area, where the tell-tale signs of sleep deprivation tend to show up.

  • Bright lipstick or eye color- Use caution here; pick one or the other, but definitely not both (You run the risk of looking like a girl experimenting with make-up for the first time). Choose colors that will flatter your complexion, the right color will instantly brighten your pretty face.

What do you do on mornings where you are rushed for time? Do you forget the beauty routine altogether? Please share some of your time and face savers for mornings where you are running late.
