If you're watching your waistline, here's what not to wear: Red!
Leslie Harrington, executive director of The Color Association, tells eBay's Inside Source that the color red can cause a spike in your appetite: "Red makes you hungry but it's understanding the 'why' behind the phenomenon. It has to do with the way it affects your brain.
Red releases endorphins into your system that stimulate the appetite." Medical research supports the theory--red catches your attention, increases your heart rate, and causes excitement, which in turn makes the receptors in your brain believe they're hungry.
