A year ago today, an icon left behind a legacy. Michael Jackson, an extraordinary entertainer, a great father, a wonderful humanitarian, and loving family member, passed away, leaving behind lots of music , love, desire to heal the world, and inspiration. Among those deeply inspired were Christophe Decarnin. Obviously, his Balmain collections are deeply inspired by the many transformations of Michael Jackson, as his collections contain many futuristic and edgy looks, including crstal embellished miltary jackets, power shoulders, and edgy prints.
In the months before Michael Jackson passed away, he began to show admiration for Balmain's Spring and Fall Women Collections (08 and 09), as he was seen out in public wearing pieces such as the leopard print pants and many different power shoulder military jackets.
