"It" Nail Polish Shades from Rescue Beauty Lounge: Recycle, Chinois and Yellow Fever

Whether you're chomping at the bit to doll yourself up in spring's bright patterns and colors or are happily content to lay low in chilled-out neutrals (that's me), there's an "It" nail polish with your name on it.

Ji Baek, creator and owner of Rescue Beauty Lounge-and my private style icon-understands that both of these crowds are going to need exquisite manicures, and rather than bully everyone into the same shade or copping out with some lame clear polish, she created four on-trend lacquers for the season.

If you're into the high-wattage brights, try Recycle, a deep, emerald green. It adds an elegant counterpoint to screaming yellows, pinks, and oranges. Very cool. (I've got it on my toes, and people are stopping me everywhere to chat about it. It's getting to be a bit much.)

Jewel-tones your thing? Then try on a Chinois, a clear Hollywood red that Baek relaunched because it's complements the rich greens, reds, and yellows we saw on the runways. (And it's sexy.)

Now maybe you're like me, and feel safe in neutral territory. Well, Ji hates a bore, so you're going to have to step it up with Yellow Fever *, a sunny yellow that actually looks awesome with safari-like colors.

Ji was wearing Yellow Fever this morning, but not in the name of color coordination-simply because "It makes me feel goofy," she says, adding that she's tempted to draw a smiley face on her nail with a Sharpie. A nail polish that inspires you to be silly? Could you even DREAM of a more spring-appropriate cosmetic?

*NOTE: I'm convinced Ji is style-psychic. She was cooking up her yellow polish WAAAY before I ever spoke to Leatrice from Pantone about the next big color.

If you're getting a little sick of the forest greens, try Rescue Beauty Lounge's Teal - it's a smokin' hot blue green that's colorful yet edgy.
