Reversible jeans: useful and fun or pointless gimmick?

Bleulab Reversible Denim jeans are two pairs in one.Bleulab Reversible Denim jeans are two pairs in one.Finding the perfect jeans is always a triumph-some even say it's better than sex! Sometimes we find a denim style we love so much we'll easily buy two pairs of them as these moments are few and far between. But would you ever buy 2-in-1 jeans?

A brand called Bleulab has created a line of reversible denim (and shorts and leggings). According to Bleulab's website, the collection's founder and inventor Carl Jones "found the perfect combination of fashion and function...using innovative design concepts, extensive fabric testing, construction research, and wash experimentation." Etailer Singer 22 has eight pictures of Kourtney Kardashian wearing the products in her everyday life, so she's clearly a fan if that means anything to you.

So, reversible jeans are here! But we're sort of on the fence about them. It's awesome that you can have two of the same pair you like or that you can pack one less thing when traveling. We also are happy the designer made them look as normal as possible i.e. both sides have fully functional zippers and pockets, and seams in all the right places. But how will they wear? If you rip one pair you've actually damaged both. And if you're getting them dirty on the outside or sweaty on the inside, will you really want to flip them and wear them inside out? Will you have to wash them twice as often?

Bluelab Reversible Denim falls into the designer jeans category, retailing for between $163 and $207, but we suppose maybe you can rationalize that they're half price and you're paying for two pairs. Click here to find out where to buy.

Do you think these double-sided jeans are a silly gimmick, or would you be willing to give them a shot?
