Should grown women wear the Twilight fragrance?

A new fragrance based on the movie Twilight has just been released (smells like lavender and freesia! Shaped like a pretty apple!) and, though I'm sure it will be a massive hit among tweens, I'm dying to know how many actual grownups will buy it. I mean, even if in secret, or secretly ashamed, we know that adult women are reading the books (if you don't believe me, ask your friends or check out the very serious site TwilightMoms.com). And they're enjoying them. The Twilight franchise has reconnected non-teenage readers to their hyper-romantic 15-year-old selves, the ones who spent high school feeling awkward and left out and really just wanted to be liked by a super-cute, super-nice boy (and NOT have sex). But will that adolescent nostalgia translate to wanting a perfume? More specifically, the question becomes: Would you be more embarrassed to wear the scent of young Bella than to live vicariously through her erotic pubescent tales?
    Twilight perfume, $48

Oh, and on a completely unrelated note, Perez Hilton points out that there might be a big scandal involving the perfume's design, which looks like this:

I would wear it...if I liked it and the heck what others think. The choice is minenot driven by others.

I think if it smells good and is something you would wear, then wear it. I am not a big fan of Paris Hilton, but just because I wear it does not mean I idolize her at all. I just think it smells good and it is something that I personally love to wear.

looks exactly like the bottle for Nina by Nina ricci (which is a fabulous scent, i adore it) could see a lawsuit approaching.

Yep I'd wear it. These books are more adult then teen. Some of the kissing gets pretty hot teens shouldn't be reading such stuff only adult woman should.

I would absolutely be embarrassed to buy or wear this perfume, no matter how good it smells

Yes I would try it because twilight is a good book but the movie sucks big.

I would definitely NOT spend $48 for the perfume. The bottle is awesome, just because red is my favorite color. But it is obvious the franchise is just trying to wring a few more dollars out of an already over extended marketing blitz. For that reason alone, I say no. But I love the books, I read every one of them.

I agree this looks like the Nina Ricci perfume bottle.... Ill stick to that one.

Yeah, it seems pretty silly to buy it just because it's "Twilight" perfume. It's like buying Dora the Explorer cereal or something — it'll taste the same whether or not it has that picture on the box. But if it smells nice and you like it, why not? I happen to love lavender and freesia, so I'm inclined to buy it for that reason. On the other hand, why would I want to smell like everyone else out there?? Also I think I WOULD be too embarrassed to actually purchase it and keep it on my dresser. :)

nobody would probably know what perfume it was if you were to wear it, however...i dont like the fact that they stole Nina Ricci's perfume bottle...

it looks like the nina ricci bottle. What a rip-off.
Twilight is so overrated only Harry Potter can stand the commercialism.

If it smells good I would wear it

I would wear it, I'm 22 and slightly embarrassed when I was toting around my twilight series books, luckily it only took me two weeks to read them. If the perfume smells good, I'd wear it, who sees/knows what you're wearing anyway. Each person's sent is a blend of everything they wear, and its not like you're gonna carry the bottle around if you're not proud of this guilty pleasure.
