The aqua Spa Terrace
One of the really cool things about living in South Florida is not being too far from South Beach! Unlike the crazy cast from Jersey Shore, I can make it to the infamous strip of hotels, restaurants, and clubs whenever I want! I drove down there this past weekend and I must say, this place never loses its charm and I couldn't help but be flooded with tons of college day memories!
It was a gorgeously hot day when I checked out the agua spa at the famous Delano Hotel for a review. I've passed by this place a million times but never had the pleasure of stopping in. Unlike the hustle and bustle of Collins Ave, the warm colors and low lighting of the hotel's lobby gave me such a calmness (and I wasn't even at the spa yet!). I hoped in the elevator and went all the way up to the penthouse, where the spa was located. After a warm greeting from the front desk I was showed to the women's locker room where I changed into my comfy terry robe and slippers. Yes, I'm a sucker for terry robes! After waiting a few moments in the quaint solarium, my massage therapist was ready for me and off I went to a small, dimly lit massage room.

Just had to take a picture of this really cool candelabra!
The treatment I had was the 60 minute Milk and Honey Massage , which is a great hydrating treatment for your skin. First, I was massaged with a warm honey and organic sesame oil. It was very nice though I wished it was a deep tissue massage. However, if you ladies aren't with all that, then it would be perfect for you! After I was massaged with the oil, I was softly, wiped down a milk-type mixture, which smelled wonderful! I could've smelled that stuff all day! It's amazing how quickly an hour can go, but my treatment was done and I felt very relaxed! My skin was extremely soft and remained that way for the rest of the day!
Afterwards, I checked out the terrace (pictured first), which was my favorite spot in the entire spa. The green and white comfy chairs and potted plants hanging on the walls were too cute! If I had a backyard, I would definitely take some style cues! The rooftop view of the beach and the city were amazing! A great way to see South Beach!

My only issue with the spa was I wished there were more places to lounge around. I know it proves to be kind of difficult for the hotel rooftop is but so big and though the terrace is fabulous, it's all open air for the most part - which is a no-go on really hot and/or rainy days (in Florida we do have both!). The solarium is nice, with plush white chaises, and sheer curtains (the iced teas they provide are really good!) However, it found it too small to lounge around for an extended period of time.
For you foodies, I also had a chance to check out their restaurant The Blue Door, The blue crab cakes and Blueberry Bellini are spectacular so you have to get that if you get a chance to visit!
