Chantecaille is always coming out with decadent creations like eye shadows embossed with butterflies, face cream laced with real gold, and spa treatments that involve crystals and your own personal healer (performed at the temple of Bergdorf Goodman).
But even if Planet Chantecaille is one most people can only dream of visiting, the brand's owners are down-to-earth when it comes to our planet. If you purchase their new Protected Paradise Face Compact-which bears a beautiful iridescent underwater scene on it-five percent of the $90 price tag is given to the Pew Fellowship in Marine Conservation, an organization that funds research on fish sustainability and marine preserves.
Now as for how it looks: The iridescent pink and coral powder is gorgeous when blended onto the temples, cheekbones, and eyelids. And I love those multi-use products, because they always make it easier to justify the price, which in this case ain't exactly cheap. But given how important protecting our oceans and beaches is-my heart beats for the Jersey Shore-I think I'd buy it on the grounds that it's got all kinds of values.
