  • Punch out for a pinch.

  • Take a time-out.

  • Enjoy a kip.

  • Grab some beauty sleep.

  • Hang in a hammock.

  • Stretch out for a spell.

  • Recharge your own batteries.

  • Rest your eyes for a moment.

  • Take five.

  • Pick a park bench.

  • Do some daydreaming.

  • Reflect on a reverie.

Whew! The dog days of summer will soon be upon us, and the sizzling temperatures are already here. Is that worth losing sleep over? Not on your life … and certainly not on Nap Day.

After all, it's a holiday, so it's practically your patriotic duty today.

Just be sure you don't nod off behind the wheel on your daily commute, and don't get caught dozing on the job. And please try not to drool on your desk. It wouldn't be prudent.
