Fashion Week is in full swing in NYC, and we've been keeping tabs on the hair and makeup looks at all the big shows. (Have you been following our updates on Twitter @CosmoOnline?) One of the trends that's already emerged is this slicked-back, wet-looking hairstyle. While it's definitely not right for work, maybe it could work for the weekend. Here's what the hairstylists were thinking:

At the super-pretty Rebecca Taylor show (left), Dai Michis---a for Cutler/Redken Salon created a "just off the beach" look with a combination of hairsprays and salt sprays. At BCBG (center), the theme was "James Bond girl" (as she emerged from the ocean in a bikini); and at the Victoria Beckham show (right), Redken creative consultant Guido did a slightly different version by anchoring the front pieces with a clip. If you're worried that this might not be the most flattering look, Guido had some words of advice: "Some find it difficult to wear their face so exposed, but the boldness and austerity of the forehead in this look is what makes it beautiful." So get ready to show off your face this spring...at least on the beach, because that's probably the best place to wear this style.
