Reality star Bethenny Frankel (of "Real Housewives" fame) launched Skinnygirl Margaritas years ago and her empire has grown exponentially. She now has Skinnygirl Cosmo, Skinnygirl Sangria, Skinnygirl Daily detox, Skinnygirl Smoother n' Shapers, Skinnygirl Workout DVD, and books "The Skinnygirl Dish" and "The Skinnygirl Rules." With drinks, workouts, and shapewear covered Frankel is hoping to tackle the beauty arena next.
The Skinnygirl ponytail a high pony that flips out at the end, just like the one the Skinnygirl logo chick is wearing. People magazine reports that Drybar blowout salons will be offering the styling treatment for $40 a pop at their locations in New York, Atlanta, Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, and Dallas. And you can sip on a Skinnygirl cocktail while you have your hair done.
"We've been a big fan of Bethenny for a while," Drybar founder Alli Webb told People. "I work with a bunch of girls, and they're all about Skinnygirl - we love the margaritas. Everybody's been raving about them." Frankel is excited to expand her products to salons. "I don't do a good ponytail," she told People. "It's hard to do it on yourself."
Is it really hard to do a good ponytail? "You would think it's easy, but there's a lot that goes into it," Webb reiterated. "You've got to smooth the hair, for one - you don't want a bunch of ridges."
Hmm. Nothing against Bethenny, but we'll be styling our own ponytails for free at home. Cocktails optional.
