I swear by that Maybelline foundation! It really hides your flaws while looking completely natural at the same time. I have problem skin - acne, dark circles, large pores, you name it - and this stuff makes my skin look flawless and naturally radiant. I use it as foundation and then layer a bit more on as concealer, and it works like a charm! Highly recommended!

I was actually buying this artcile until I got to Pantene... seriously EVERY hair care specialist I've ever known says it's the WORST shampoo for your hair.... any hair type.

Cetaphil costs $14 where I live.
I haven't used Great Lash in years-- I think there are much better formulas out there.

Hate Cetaphil. Tried it years ago and it left a greasy film on my face. Got near my eyes and burned them. Great Lash smears like crazy on me. Neutrogena Rainbath is wonderful. Works great whether it's summer or winter or whether your water is hard, soft or normal. It cleans without stripping and no film, pleasant scent.

I disagree with the bit about St. Ives scrub. For me, it's the best stuff I've ever used! I would, however, agree on Cover Girl pressed powder. Cheap and keeps shine down

hate bareminerals it's not cheap and the brush I got fell apart.you can do a lot better for less money.

St Ives scrub has jagged scrubbers in their product that will tear your skin. Stay away! You need to use a scrub with round particles. Great Lash mascara gives me spider lashes...I've been using loreal original voluminous for years...great brush and no clumps. As a former hair designer, I know that you cannot mix shampoo and conditioner....buy them separate and I would say to stay away from ALL drugstore shampoos/conditioners. As far as frizz eaze....oil is oil is oil. Happy shopping!

Great Lash is completely overrated. It's so clumpy. And the grains in St. Ives' scrub are wayyy too big to be rubbing on your face.

When the big companies get rid of the nasty preservatives in their products like hormone messing parabens, I'll consider it. Until they stop using cheap ingredients while expecting me to pay for garbage, I'll use better products.

Am I the only one who uses Pantene and likes it? Right now I am using Modern Organic Products, but I just want to get back to my old stuff. I didn't realize until I read the comments here that they test on animals. I'm a vegetarian and wish I had known this sooner.

the Maybelline foundations is really awesome! I switch between that and Bareminerals and sometimes I think it's actually better. It's sheer so it doesn't feel like you're wearing gobs of makeup and it makes your face look like it has a natural glow.

Also...Proactive is still the best face wash I've used (I dont' use their other products) and gently exfoliates while leaving my skin looking bright and smooth.

Frizz Ease is great! I have waist lenght hair and after washing get frizzys all over the top layer. Frizz Ease smoothes it away. Even with my long hair it takes very little product to get the desired results.

      Thanks Bentzqueen!
Great Lash is truly awful! I have worked as a makeup artst for many years, and I have never seen a m/u artst use it(contrary to those claims of it being in everyones makeup arsenal)

I have never found the attraction to Great Lash. This is the WORST mascara ever made. It's goopy and makes your lashes clump together like glue.

I absolutely LOVE Maybelline's foundation! I'm biracial and caramel comoplexioned, which usually makes it really difficult to find makeup that doesn't make me a) look ashen or b) look like I have a dark mask on. I'm not big on makeup so the natural, sheer coverage is great! I am going to try Cetaphil since my skin is somewhat sensitive and dries out easily, and the Neutrogena SPF 100. I will say DO NOT USE ST. IVES APRICOT SCRUB!!! It may not LOOK like you're doing any harm, but my derm. says you may as well be ripping your skin cells apart because it really is that harsh on your face. You don't see it immediately, but as you age you may regret it. ;) Great article!
