Three Things We Loved Today: New York Fashion Week Day 9

New York Fashion Week is officially a wrap! As Shine's senior fashion and beauty editor, I've loved bringing you all the highlights, whether it was interviewing designers and makeup artists backstage, spotting celebs around the tents at Lincoln Center, or front and center at the fashion shows. Without further ado, here are the best moments of Day 9:

1. A Spanish-themed collection at Ralph Lauren. From flamenco dresses to matador gear, I loved every outfit in this collection, and actually think many items were wearable! OK, maybe not the jodhpurs, but the ruffled blouses, serape striped tops, and palazzo pants were great. I also appreciated the way the models strut down the runway to the Spanish music and really posed with flair at the end of the catwalk for photographers.

2. Diane Kruger at Calvin Klein. I have a serious girl crush on Kruger, especially when it comes to her sense of style. As a spokesperson for Calvin Klein I had a feeling she'd turn up and the fashion show and I spotted her getting out of a car out front. So gorgeous! I'd never attempt a cropped top paired with a leather skirt, but I think she looks fantastic and like she's having so much fun.

After all the structured pieces I saw this weekend I started wondering where the cute-but-comfy garments were hiding. Thank you, Cynthia Rowley! This wall of gals wearing east-to-throw-on dresses and tops look perfect for this exceptionally warm September weather.
