While already having created huge success as part of dynamic duo of Press & Bastyan, Tonia Bastyan steps out of the team to bring a very elegant collection of her own, Bastyan.
The pieces in this collection give of a comfy, yet luxe feel, that appeals more to daily wear with a hint of runway. While using a very neutral color palette, Tonia takes us on a very classic, yet modern ride of elegance, in the form of beautiful embroidery, silks, and satins.
Tonia Bastyan strives to create "individual pieces that don't necessarily sit as a collection to co-ordinate, but could be seen as heirloom pieces". With her very elegant style, she seems to hit the nail right on the head. In 2006, after extreme success with Press & Bastyan, she formed her own company. Her inspiration comes greatly from her passion of antique fashion and textiles, as well as archive prints.
