Twilight-inspired fashion: The best and just very worst

A preview of Nordstrom's new The Twilight Saga: New Moon Collection was released late last week to, like everything surrounding the Twilight empire, much fanfare and buzz. The vampire-themed clothes and accessories, which will be available starting October 1st, include everything from t-shirts and mini dresses to jewelry, keychains, and coats. As you'd imagine with a sartorial gimmick like this, many of the designs are kind of cheesy, but there are a few pieces that are actually great, whether you're a Twi-hard or not. To honor this new fashion collaboration, we rounded up the best and worst Twilight-derived merchandise we could find. Some of it is surprisingly stylish and cool, while other items have the clammy stench of stalkerdom we recognize from our own tween days following Anthony Michael Hall.

i agree this whole fad is rediculous. however, i watch the films just to see what bella is wearing and then buy CHEAP knock offs. NOT THE ACTUAL THING! that is over obsessive

      wow.
i read all the books, saw the movie, and i fully intend to see the rest of them.
      but wow.
it was a crappy book, and an even worse movie.
i understand one t-shirt for the movie premiere,
      but seriously.
      this is just stupid.

That is a fad, and not everybody has to like it, and yes we can all say how ridiculous we have looked in something at time in our lives and this to shall pass. I like the movie and reading the books so far and cannot wait for the next movie. They are true romantic movies and not enjoyed by everyone. Life is short so enjoy the movies that you like and wear what you want.

This is just another in the long list of reasons the terrorists want to kill us!!

The plaid jacket and the blue one are fine. The rest...not so much. I don't really get the fad. I've read all of the books and they were okay, not exactly awe inspiring pieces of literature but to each his own I suppose.

i love twilight, but some of this stuff is over the top. and for the people who said they will laugh with this "fad" ends in 5 years. back off, so things come to an end- get over it.

I would only wear the plaid and the outdoorsy jacket and maybe the ring, but all teh other stuff is just plain LAME!I really like the book and all, but they are just going overboard with all this stuff like "Bite Me",i wouldnt want to be seen walking around with twilight necklaces and bracelets,i guess it would look ok for little girls under 10 or something, but for teenagers and adults, thats just wierd.

Okay, so for all of the people who are bashing Twilight, and are over the age of 20,SHUT UP!!!! Like you guys didnt have dumb fads or an idol you guys looked up to. Like you guys didnt wear ridiculous clothing, I think that some people are kind of being hypocritical! So instead of whining and complaining about some dumb "kid" thing, go and get a life, because im pretty sure that there are more important things to be doing! It is just a fad, us "kids" (of course because you have to be 13 or under to read these books apparently) will move on to something else.

you can get pretty much all of it at hot topic. right now

Are you serious? This fad really needs to be over. Stephenie Meyer can't write to save her life. There is NOTHING original about a vampire/human romance.

i am a fan but i don't get that crazy that i would have to get pants saying "bit me". it has gone over board, but its the business that there in. they want younger girls to buy what they can so they get a profit from the movie.
    • WayneWW  •  2 years 10 months ago
LOL!! Read the book?? Are you serious?? My wife and I were looking at it while shopping at Sam's Club...sorry, but anyone over the age of 13 that's able to read that tripe needs to see a shrink.

the twilight fad was fine, until the movie came out. i loved the books and all, but then the movies came out and people are now borderline obsessive about it, as the pictures above show. i really can't wait till this is over...

I'm more than ready for Twilight to just make the transition from undead to dead right about now. It's ridiculous.
