Unlikely style inspiration: Byata from the VH1 show Miss Rap Supreme

If you have not yet tuned into VH1's Miss Rap Supreme, please do so immediately. Everything about this program-a reality TV competition to pick the next big female rapper, kind of like an America's Next Top Model/ American Idol for thugs-is addictively bad. It's filthy, sexy, cheesy and I love it.
I am especially enamored with contestant Byata, a super-hot Brooklyn girl with a foul mouth, a short temper and an incredible sense of style. I seriously can't stop obsessing over her funky, kind of punk rock/kind of club chick look. Check her out in the (NSFW) clip above: A short curly bob, vest, denim mini, prison stripes, tights, boots, glasses...I mean really? All of this weird awesomeness at once? I can't handle it. In other episodes, she's mastered bandannas, paired madras plaid shorts with a soft, off-the-shoulder sweater and worn huge hoops, high heels, black jeans and a fitted little red flannel. Brava!
