User post: An Eye for White Eyelet Under $50

I don't know if it has to do with getting older, but I feel that recently my taste in fashion has drastically changed. For example as recently as a year ago I would have recoiled in horror at the mention of white fabric of any kind. My past aversion to white was because black was my go-to neutral for everything and also whenever I have worn white I managed to splatter some sort of food on it(sometimes even other people splattered food on me). Eyelet had previously seemed too precious and sweet, and I was afraid of looking like a twelve year old girl so I naturally avoided it.

However this spring all of a sudden I have a hankering for all things white eyelet. Tops and dresses mostly, but whenever I spy white eyelet on the racks it lures me over to it with its siren song. There is something so beautiful and carefree looking about white eyelet, it softly whispers spring and summer loveliness; ice cream, bbq's, watermelon, I could go on and on. So what if I have to wear a tarp over my clothes when I eat, I want to wear white eyelet! Me being me of course refuse to spend a lot of money on anything that will likely not last to next year, so I have assembled a list of my favorite white eyelet pieces. I will still feel the need to roll in scotch guard to protect my whites, but for under $50 this list is relatively guilt free.
