User post: Summer Dresses For Us Curvy Girls

So I walked into Forever 21 about a month ago looking for some cute additions to my wardrobe. I hadn't been in there for, say, 5 months. I search around the store 1, 2, 3 times. Couldn't find my usual size - XL. I confront one of the help ladies about it, only to be looked up and down with disgust - "We don't carry thatsize anymore." I don't know when they stopped doing it. Or why. All I know is, I don't shop there anymore. And I found better, cuter alternatives:

Torrid: Floral A-Line Dress, $50.98 ON CLEARANCE
I'd LOVE to own this dress. Since I'm seriously into florals right now, this seems spot on for my wardrobe collection.

Target: Belted Frill Dress, $24.99 ON SALE
I saw this dress at Target recently. The material is very light and girly. Something you're sure not to sweat a lot in. The belt seems a little cheaply made, but you can remove it and replace it with something else. I can see myself buying this dress and adding my wide, brown leather belt. Yes, please!

Torrid: Elastic-Waist Tank Dress, $42.98 ON CLEARANCE
I could wear this to work, any day. SO EASY, I'm tellin' ya! Literally just slip it on and you're ready. I can't wear sleeveless clothes to work, so I would pair it with a brightly colored cardigan.

Target: Short Floral Dress, $24.99 ON SALE
Recently bought this dress in the black and grey floral. It's a little shorter than I would like (I'm a little too blessed in the rump region). I wear mine with a black leather belt I got at Goodwill and my tie-around, every-day cardigan. It's fun to wear at parties, too. Just put a pair of skinny jeans on underneath with some black heels and KAH-BAM! Hot look :)

So forget Forever 21; I don't need them!
