User post: Why I'm Never Happy With My Hair Style

I went through a year bout where I didn't cut my hair. At all. I didn't dye it. I didn't trim it. Hell, half of the time, I don't think I even brushed it. I was done trying to.

And once I started getting into the blogging community, I started seeing all of these women with lovely hair. Even my ride into work, I'd glance at the car over and notice a woman with nicely curled, maintained hair.

Why can't I be like that?

Then, I get frustrated and go on-line, read more blogs, then immediately after work drop money at Sally's Beauty supply. Thanks to those trips, I now own two straightners, a 3-barreled curler, combed curler, a 1- and 2-inch curler, foam leave-in curlers...the list goes on. I don't properly know how to use any of these.

It could have something to do with the fact that I only give myself 20 minutes in the morning to get ready. Which, might I say, is way better than my previous 10 minutes.

I've tried so many hair cuts: Long layers, short layers, bob, pixie, faux-hawk (don't ask...), short in back-longer in front. And hair styles: bangs, no bangs, poofed up bangs, permed, crimped, curled, scrunched, blow-dried, air-dried, cold-air-dried...

Is it just me, or can I NOT find a hair style that I'm happy with?
Or, do I have terribly low self-esteem that I just can't stick with one style?
